Prosperity Lost

I believe when you have created prosperity once and lose it, not only do you have the yearn to create it again, but you also have the experience to do it better, smarter and faster the second time.  Many of us have seen our net worth drop or diminish altogether over the last year and the void that has been created is a natural event.  That void, like all voids, begs to be filled and the human need for progress will keep it going.

This blog is a message of hope if you find yourself in the shoes of one who has “lost.”  There is ebb and flow to everything in life.  That’s the spice.  Marriage, parenting, business, and life in general have ups and downs.  That should never be a surprise.  Gleaning wisdom from the fluctuations should be your purpose, not bogging down in the dips.

Have confidence that the burn in your belly to have what you once had will be the catalyst that will push you forward to the next level.  Our children will see this and we become great examples of the “can do” attitude.  Family first entrepreneurs must consider themselves to have a calling of being positive about life, being that it is such a critical life skill for our kids.

Humans are not made to exist long term in disappointment, shame or defeat.  God made us to be thankful for our blessings and challenged  by our struggles.  Those are the emotions that serve us.  That is where we can thrive as leaders in our families.

Rest assured, if you did it once you can do it again and this time it will be easier.  Dig down, that’s what we do when times are tough.  Take hold of what you have left, be thankful and start the process of rebuilding.
